It is better not to have any intercourse after embryo transfer. Take it easy..and wait for your pregnancy result. If its positive then also it is better to avoid any strenuous activity..good luck to you!!

So far, there has not been any clear evidence with intercourse interfering with successful embryo implantation. However, it is still advised that couples refrain from sexual intercourse for at least 2 – 3 weeks as orgasm could interfere with the implantation of the embryo to the uterine wall. The process of embryo transfer is the final and most important step of the IVF procedure. The success of IVF would greatly depend on this procedure. If carried out properly, then there are higher chances of successful implantation of the embryo to the uterine wall. On the other hand, there have been some pieces of evidences suggesting a positive thread between having intercourse the night before the embryo transfer. Doctors feel that such an activity can increase the chances of having a successful pregnancy. In case, the pregnancy test after the embryo transfer procedure turns out to be positive then it is advised to refrain from intercourse for at least 6 weeks of gestation period.

It is generally advised to abstain from sexual intercourse after the embryo transfer process. Taking necessary precautions can certainly protect u n ur baby from complications or even a failed ivf cycle. It is therefore, necessary to not undergo any kind of sexual intercourse after the embryo transfer and for at least 6 weeks if u get pregnant.
